Very few of the alternate color schemes look better than the default, though. Spider-Man is one of Sony’s preeminent exclusive titles, so it gets the extra special optimization treatment.

By the middle of the first act, players will be reunited with Peter Parker’s best friend, Harry Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn, an iconic Spider-Man character who later becomes the Green Goblin. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s seems to retain most of the gameplay it had from the previous games based on the gameplay footage that they revealed.
The part that feels like it actually needed a radical rethinking is the open world of New York City, which has been made bigger but not better, with an exhausting checklist of mostly repetitious side activities. But it’s safe to call this another thrilling Spider-Man adventure that delivers Insomniac’s best tale yet, and despite its open world falling short, it’s a reliably fun superhero power trip. The gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple play styles offered by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men.

Miles Morales has a lot going on, what with moving to a new neighborhood, dealing with the loss of his father, and the whole gaining super-powers thing. After a misunderstanding with the law, Miles questions what it means to be a hero when people are ready to believe the worst in you.
On the whole it’s a tried and true set-up for a Spider-Man story—the perils of leading a double life, making sacrifices to do the right thing, all that jazz. But that does also mean it’s a story we’ve seen an awful lot of times before, not only across films, TV, and comics, but also in the previous two games in this series. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 lets players swing through the streets of New York as Peter Parker and Miles Morales, facing off against formidable foes in an action-packed superhero adventure. The game requires at least a GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 5500 XT to run properly at minimum settings.
